I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their anxiety.
Relaxation and mindfulness techniques are also taught to help cope with anxiety symptoms in the moment.
Emotional overload, irritability, restlessness, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, impaired performance at work or school, and difficulty making decisions are classic pain points for those experiencing anxiety.
The types of anxiety disorders I address include generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder/social phobia, agoraphobia, and other specific phobias, such as a fear of heights, spiders, or flying.
The common symptoms for anxiety disorders that are treated in therapy are:
Constant Worrying
Sleep Problems
Difficulty Focusing
Irratibility
Overeating & Minimal Appetite
Avoiding Social Situations
Headaches, Muscle Tension, & Stomach Issues
Rapid Breathing, Excessive Sweating, & Irregular Heartbeat
